Center for Family Services is sponsoring a Fair Housing Seminar. The guest presenter is Kelly Valdez from SW PA Legal Services.
The training will offer a comprehensive overview of the Fair Housing Act including:
- Who is protected?
- What types of housing are covered?
- What are prohibited practices
- What options are available to victims
Erlichs’ Pest Control will conclude the seminar with a presentation of Bedbugs and other pests.

On May 10th. your letter carrier is teaming up with food pantries around the country. As he or she makes the rounds delivering mail, they will also be picking up non-perishable food items left by your mail box.
The food is delivered to your food pantry .. in our case the Center for Family Services Meadville pantry and distributed to other organizations in our community.
The CFS Food Pantries provide boxes full of food items that help supplement the household food budget of over 3000 local people each month. The Stamp Out Hunger Food Drive helps keep these boxes full throughout the Summer months, when donations are at the lowest.
Together we can make this a banner year for donations! Spread the word and ask your friends and neighbors to join in on May 10th to help “Stamp Out Hunger”!
Join us on June 6th as we plant a community garden at Women’s Services. This project is a partnership that will benefit our Meadville Food Pantry. Bring your green thumb!

Looking for a way to help local families? We are looking for new additions to our PR/Fundraising committee.
During the meetings we plan events to benefit agency programs, new ideas are welcome! If you have any questions, please contact us.

Can’t make the event, but want to help? An average book bag costs $10, please donate what you can.
Join us as we help local children, teens and adults keep warm this winter.
Our supply of children’s coats is very low. In many sizes there are none to give away. It is heartbreaking to turn away a child in need of a warm winter coat.
