Adopt-A-Family

Local families are identified throughout the year and adopted during the Holidays.  These families are experiencing financial difficulties and have unique situations.  Partner agencies also send us referrals.  Please understand that this program is limited and we do not accept “sign-ups”.  You may contact us to find out what other programs you may be able to use to help with your family’s holiday.

How you can help

The Adopt-A-Family program is unique because the entire family is assisted, not only children.  Many of our adopters assist with anything from gifts to groceries to helping with a utility bill.  If you are interested in talking to us about being an Adopter, please contact us

Household Item Voucher

This program assists local families who are in need of basic household supplies due to a variety of reasons including fire victims and those who have experienced domestic abuse.  Households are provided with as many items as possible, to get a fresh start.  Eligible households are referred from partner agencies such as CHAPS, United Way, Women’s Services, Inc., Red Cross and in house.

How you can help

Items needed: gently used or new sheets, blankets, and comforters; frying pans and saucepans; silverware and cooking utensils; dishes, cups, and glasses; kitchen and bath towels.  New pillows are greatly appreciated!

Personal Care Items, Diapers and Formula

Many in our community are struggling with a financial crisis and/or homelessness.  Our Personal Care Closet offers items such as soap, shampoo, toothbrushes, toothpaste, deodorant, feminine products and toilet paper.

Families with little ones and facing a serious financial crisis are assisted with diapers and formula on a case by case basis.

All of the above items are made available through local donations of items and monetary contributions.
